Melissa Satta (born February 7, 1986) is an Italian-American model, television presenter and actress. She spent her youth in the island of Sardinia, land of origin of her parents. She was a showgirl in the Italian satirical series Striscia la notizia. She has appeared in Maxim magazine and was featured in the 2010 Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue.
Satta was born to ethnic Sardinian parents on February 7, 1986 in Boston, Massachusetts, she has spent the early years of her childhood living in both the U.S. and in Sardinia, Italy. After graduating from high school she enrolled in the faculty of Communication studies.
Satta has a history of sports, having practiced both women's football, where she played for the women's team of Helena Quartu formally of the Lega Pro Seconda Divisione and karate, with which she was Sardinian junior karate champion and was a bronze medalists at the Italian Karate Championships.
Satta began working in the fashion industry at age 16, and the following year (2003), at 17, she was among the finalists of the beauty contest Miss wall (edition 2003), and obtaining the title of Miss extreme. In 2005, she began working as an assistant in the Italian television program Mio fratello è Pakistano, which was starred by Teo Mammucari on Canale 5. In the same year she was appointed as spokesperson for the advertising of TIM.

In 2006, Satta featured in numerous Mediaset television programs, such as Judge Mastrangelo 2, as well as a minor part in the Italian movie Bastardi. In the fall of 2006, Satta paraded the catwalks in Milan's fashion spring / summer 2007 to the Pin Up Stars collection.
Satta's father, Enzo Satta, is an architect, he was a political adviser and business partner to Prince Aga Khan IV and an Italian politician from Sardinia, from 1986 until 2003, where he was responsible for the planning of Costa Smeralda (Emerald Coast) in Sardinia. Satta has two brothers, Riccardo, who is a business magnate and lives in Monaco, and the youngest of the two, Maximilian. Satta got engaged to professional footballer Kevin Prince Boateng of A.C. Milan in July 2012, after Boateng proposed. Her diamond engagement ring was made by the Italian jeweler Damiani.
